Kathy Oldaker, SVP and media director at Gatesman, one of the fastest-growing, mid-sized, privately owned marketing communications agencies, has been appointed to Pittsburgh Advertising Federation’s board of directors. A 20-year veteran in the industry, Oldaker brings robust experience and a unique perspective to the organization.
In her role as board member, Oldaker will be closely involved in the planning for AdFed’s annual Media Auction and pitch competition, “The Pitch,” which gives students the opportunity to collaborate with a local advertising agency on a project meant to support a non-profit organization.
“I am really excited to have a hand in mentoring young professionals in the Pittsburgh advertising community,” said Oldaker. “Experience truly is the best teacher - learning first-hand from seasoned employees in the industry has helped me grow tremendously in my career. I’m eager to have a similar impact on those who are just starting out.”
Oldaker also looks forward to planning partnerships between AdFed and other advertising organizations in the city.
