CHICAGO September 14, 2023 Gatesman continues to celebrate wins throughout the agency, most recently at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chicago chapter’s annual Skyline Awards ceremony on Sept. 13.

The Skyline Awards are Chicago’s premier public relations and communications awards competition, celebrating creativity and innovation in public relations and showcasing business impact and results.

Gatesman’s PR and social media team was honored with 2 Skyline Awards and 1 Award of Excellence for work completed across diverse categories.

“I am truly humbled and proud of the team’s accomplishments. These awards are a testament to the dedication and creativity of our talented team as well as our amazing client partners who trust us to deliver impactful work,” said Beth Thompson, VP, director of PR & social media. “We have a lot of exciting activations in the works for all clients, and I cannot wait to share continued progress. The momentum of success that we are experiencing will continue to grow.”

Gatesman was presented with a Skyline Award in the ESG Commitments category for the comprehensive launch campaign created to promote National Vision’s 2021 Sustainability Report. To showcase the advancements supporting the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, Gatesman outlined a multi-faceted promotional campaign showcasing the report to internal and external audiences while driving awareness of the company’s commitment to sustainable operations.

A second Skyline Award was presented in the Best Use of Podcast, Film & Video category for Gatesman’s work with USG Corporation on a new campaign to educate USG’s established audiences. Backed by its Hacking Human Behavior™ model and powerful research toolbox, Gatesman developed the Off The Wall podcast to share drywall expertise from experienced contractors. Gatesman used a cross-platform approach to amplify awareness of Off the Wall by creating social posts announcing the episode drops. Contractors were highly receptive to the podcasts; some social media users even suggested potential topics for future videos.

Gatesman also received an Award of Excellence for Content Marketing on behalf of Pace Suburban Bus. Pace serves over 20,000 individuals with disabilities and senior riders across six counties in suburban Chicagoland. In order to increase awareness of the variety of fully-accessible transit options available to them, Pace turned to Gatesman to create a multi-channel marketing campaign. The goal of the campaign was to ensure ADA Paratransit riders and their caretakers were aware of the other accessible options Pace offers in their community in addition to its widely used Paratransit service.
